Right, well today was the first day of orientation. And let me tell you, it did not get off to a very auspicious start. First off, my alarm clock apparently doesn't work. Not that it bothered to give me any indication of this. So I woke up late and missed talking to Pete for the second day in a row. That made me grumpy. More grumpy-inducing is that

You have that many authors sending you books? Wow, I didn't know that. That's awesome.

It's publishers for the most part who represent several authors. A publisher from a new indie press is basically taking a chance on me by sending me several books. Other than that I've had a relatively steady trickle of review copies headed my way. If things really take off, I'm hoping to get even more. It's a matter of readership (still low) and generally fitting the niche of what you're reviewing.

Nowadays there are a lot of YA books floating around, but my 'competition' is pretty fierce. Romance authors get far fewer copies to send out. Sad, but true.
