I remember encountering the phrase "he'd have" in first grade. I remember thinking that that was such an absurd phrase. Why would someone use "he'd have" instead of "he would've"? It didn't make sense. And now here I go, "he'd have"ing all over the place. Who am I?

I'm good at writing.

I'm good at music.

Suck at writing music.

Really suck at writing words to music.

Of all the things God gave me that I can do, you'd think He'd have at least made them compatable with each other.

I went from drinking no caffeine at all to running on only coffee and bacon and no sleep in less than a week. I feel my pulse in my eyeballveins.

I made my students debate abortion today. Only five of them were genuinely pro-choice. And they were all boys worried about overpopulation.

They really do teach only one side in high school. How did I ever break out of that same box? Some of their arguments made me nauseous.

This birthday is awesome so far. Been celebrating since Sunday, pretty much. Went to a Blue Man Group concert with the fam on Sunday, got to see Aerosmith last night with Natalia. Next time Aerosmith is in town I want to go just so I can people-watch. And Natalia has to be one of the best concert-going buddies I've ever known. Period ( Read more... )

It's chilly in my house. It's either roasting or frigid. I kind of like frigid because I can always layer up, whereas if it's hot, I can't always strip down to the skivvies and run around. Although I do that often. And don't say you haven't.
