Jul 31, 2011 22:15

[Juliet has pulled her hair completely away from her face, this evening. She looks a little shaken, a bit paler than usual, which only makes the words burned onto her neck stand out more. She angles the device so that it gets a clear view of the text. "The game's afoot: Follow your spirit; and, upon this charge Cry 'God for Harry! England and ( Read more... )

[She smiles when she sees Spike. If he's in the house, she knows she's safe. She tilts her head so that he can read the strange words.]

I have no idea. Whoever did it rendered me unconscious first. And pulled me far away from where I had been. Lord Saxon found me on the edge of the city, near to the wastes. But I was within sight of the marketplace, the last I remember.

[Shock coupled with a feeling of safety makes it easier to speak with relative calm. She's going to want a hug as soon as he's done examining it, though.]

Riku says he's bringing over healing supplies for it. And Lord Saxon said he did not think it would scar much, if at all.

Indeed. I am most grateful to him for it.

[She returns the hug easily, careful not to move in a way that makes her neck hurt.]

I should have asked for an escort. But I went yesterday without any difficulty, and I have gone out short distances without an escort and not had trouble. I wish I knew why today was different.

I have been told it will not scar much, if at all. But yes, someone is coming to tend them. Thank you.

Juliet-san, may I have a look at this burn? I will not be able to prevent scarring, I am afraid, but burns require specific care so as not to get infected, and I should really teach you how to do that.

If you like, Lady Unohana. Riku is coming to attend to it, but I would not begrudge another's opinion, especially one trained in the arts of medicine. And if there are specific tasks I must do in order to keep it safe, then I wish to know how they are to be performed.

Are you able to come by the house? I - I will admit that I am a little afraid to step outside again today, even with an escort.

There are indeed things you must to to ensure your own health. Burns are extremely nasty wounds that can spread far more than the eyes can see.

That's understandable. I shall be with you as soon as possible.

Your first step should be to cool down the area around the burn as much as possible. You can do this by putting it under a stream of cold water, or bathing it with a cloth if it is too inconvenient.

[She listens carefully. Such injuries are not something with which she is familiar.]

I see. I shall take the utmost care with the wound, Lady Unohana. And thank you.

I have bathed it with a cool washcloth. It seemed to soothe the pain.

I do not, Naruto. Whoever it was rendered me unconscious first. I have been told that it will not scar very much, if at all, which is some consolation.

[Juliet and Aang, branding and strangulation, both methods that Erik is intimately familiar with. He is not pleased.]

Mademoiselle Capulet... Have you had it treated yet.

Lord Erik. [She curtsies lightly. Normalcy is good.]

Yes. Riku came to see to it, and Lady Unohana as well. Both have skill with healing.

You - you are well, I trust? You have settled into your new home?
