011 [Video] - BACKDATED to early evening, July 24

Jul 31, 2011 22:15

[Juliet has pulled her hair completely away from her face, this evening. She looks a little shaken, a bit paler than usual, which only makes the words burned onto her neck stand out more. She angles the device so that it gets a clear view of the text. "The game's afoot: Follow your spirit; and, upon this charge Cry 'God for Harry! England and ( Read more... )

-=Totally not a part of the plot. But his face is dark when he sees those marks.=-

Who?

-=His voice is of the tone that he's not one to be messed with.=-

[[Okay, slowly coming back to the RP world!]]

I do not know. Whoever did it struck me unconscious first.

-=He doesn't give a crap about the words. The fact that she's been injured against her will is enough to make him protective and angry.=-

Are you still in pain? Does it need to be seen by a healer?

There is a little pain still, but it is much faded from what it was before. I have been told it should heal on its own, with little scarring, if any.

[Once the shock's worn off, she'll likely be as disgusted with the injury. As it stands now, her voice shakes and her eyes are glassy.]

I was going to the indoor marketplace, to find more thread. I didn't want to run out part-way through the work. On my way there, someone or something struck me, and I lost consciousness. Lord Saxon found me by the edge of the city, nearly in the wastes, and revived me. The markings were there when he found me, he said. I'd thought it was a bite, at first; it burned when I moved my neck. My basket was gone - I suppose I dropped it when I was first attacked. And Lord Saxon was kind enough to see me home safely.

[She chokes back a sob. She'll have her cry when she's not speaking to someone, if she can help it.]

I'm only glad someone was able to help me. I didn't think it would be so dangerous to go back to the marketplace. I took the very same route I took yesterday, and I kept my watch, as I always do. If - if Lord Saxon had not found me....

[She swallows visibly and shakes her head a ( ... )

[He listens, eyes slightly narrowed. This attack angers him for more than one reason - and he might sound sterner than usual as a consequence.]

You have been by the Clinic?

[... and Alexia looks positively enraged. What in the world.]

Who did this?

I know not. Whoever did it rendered me unconscious first.

How deep are the marks?

They do not seem very deep. I have been told it will leave little, if any, scarring.

Juliet!! How could someone-?

Are you alright? Does it hurt still? Have you had Unohana-san look at it?

[The questions tumble out one by one in her worry.]

[She has no answer for the first question, but she tries to answer the others as best she can.]

I am - I have not seen Lady Unohana, no. It only hurts if I attempt to bend my neck so as to fold the skin on that side, and then only a little. The pain has mostly gone. And I - I have been told it is not likely to scar much, if at all.

Do you know who it was? How did it happen? Why?

I know nothing of who did this, nor why. It - Lord Saxon says the words seem burned, branded. I have not seen it properly, save for watching this again closely. It is difficult to see even in the mirror. Whoever did it rendered me unconscious first.

Juliet...? Are you okay?

[Bubbles hasn't seen this posting (up to you if you want it to be because Juliet distracted her or not <3), nor has she seen the branding - but she knows Juliet doesn't seem to be feeling good and that's enough to worry her.]

Do you need a hug? I give really good hugs, Juliet!

{OOC: I'm guessing that Juliet would probably not want Bubbles to know the full extent of what happened to her, but if that guess is wrong, let me know and I can re-comment or something <3}

[After her posting, Juliet has wrapped a light scarf around her neck, mostly to hide the wound from bubbles. Her necklace would have hidden most of it, but it sat too tightly against the skin for comfort.]

I always desire hugs from you, Bubbles. Just - be mindful.

[She kneels and opens her arms for a hug. If need be, she'll grit her teeth through any pain, because she doesn't wish the child to know what's happened if she hasn't seen the network missive.]

[OOC: This is fine! If she finds out during the thread, that's cool, too. Juliet wouldn't want her to know, necessarily, esp. since it's during the 'no-powers' event, but curious 5 year olds are tricky things.^^]

I will be, Juliet!

[And she is. She gives Juliet the gentlest and carefulest hug possible.]

Juliet, if I had my powers, I would fly all over Adstringaling and find out who hurt you and beat them up!

[She returns it with equal care, wishing she didn't have to worry so much about a simple hug.]

I appreciate the sentiment, child, but I would not want you to put yourself in harm's way for my sake. As we know nothing about the person who hurt me, we know not if he or she has powers of their own.
