[The video comes on at a slightly awkward angle. Seems Tybalt has been scrounging for clothing. He's managed to find himself a new jacket, but currently he seems to be rifling through racks of... dresses?]

Before anyone gets the wrong idea I am looking for something appropriate for my cousin.

[He's none too gentle with the racks, shoving things ( Read more... )

restlessness, frustrated as always, anger anger anger, tiger in a cage, effing montegues, dress shopping isn't easy, tybalt's raging again, overprotective cause he wants her

It is not a matter of liking or not liking, I will not have my cousin dressed like a fucking Montegue!

[Have a glare]

It's an atrocious color anyway.

[Oh Tybalt, why you so trollish?]

Suppose it's fine for those sorts of things. But Juliet's not wearing Montegue colors in my house.

-- I like that skirt!

[Somewhat indignantly, at having seen something on a shelf.]

And I most certainly do not dress like a whore.

So get it yourself. I don't need it.

Fine. Whore or peasant. Juliet is neither.

You should watch your language, sir, there are children around here.

I see nothing objectionable in calling things by their proper names

Ah... you're looking for dresses, sir? What kind?

Something appropriate for a well bred young lady.

[Even in her world, 'well bred' means prudish with the tendency to cover every inch of skin.]

Well, I've got a dress that your cousin can use, if you want to take a look at it? I still have it in my closet.

[Well that's just perfect in Tybalt's mind]

I don't suppose I can hope it's red? Or pink at least?

[The woman who answers wears a modest gown of the Tudor era England, of rich fabric and cut but showing some signs of wear after this long in Adstringendum.]

Should you find proper attire, I should like you to tell me. I have very little that I could wear, here.

[He's impressed. Finally, someone around her who actually knows how to dress.]

You can have this one if you want.

[He holds up the blue dress in question]

You have such a strong distaste for blue?

Where I am from only Montague scum wear blue.

[Blue. It reminds her of Romeo. She wants that dress.]

I do not think we have much choice over the clothing here, Tybalt. I - I shall have to make do with a blue dress, if that is the only thing appropriate. At least until we can find something else.

I will not have you dressing like a Montegue tramp. I still have more places yet to look.

[Yes, this is him trying to play nice]

[She knows. She also knows she has to sweet talk in order to get this dress.]

Considering the modest cut of that dress, Tybalt, I do not think anyone would dare call me such a thing. And should they dare, I've no doubt you would defend my honor, dear cousin.

We are not in such dire straights that I would have you dressing in their colors. It is a matter of our family's pride.
