In spite of what Melissa was doing, Peter was still vaguely tense, that much apparent when Adam put his fingers to his back. He could tell she was doing something to him, and not knowing what, exactly, made fighting it both an excersise in futility and the source of the better part of his uneasiness. He didn't like the idea of being controlled, particularly not when Sylar was in the room. Particularly not when Adam had known he was going to be there, somehow.

Frowning, he shifted away from Adam a touch, unable to muster real fury at him for leading him into some kind of trap, and glanced between Melissa and the killer. "Someone want to explain what's going on?"

Sylar shot Melissa a look that was more subdued than Peter would have expected, and he couldn't help but wonder if his 'friend' had some kind of leash on him, too. "Well, apparently me not killing you, for one."

Rolling his eyes, Peter folded his arms over his chest.

"Sorry," Melissa murmured, eyes flicking to Peter's in genuine apology that was probably palpable in the room, as open as she was. "There were innocent people down there. I couldn't let you two..." She waved one small hand. "Besides. We'll have a far more productive discussion if you aren't snarling and can think clearly ( ... )
