Took myself to see the award winning Mr Turner yesterday. It is a long, quiet, enthralling biographical film, beautifully shot (presumably in a suitably Turneresque palette of colours) about the earthy and slightly bizarre later life of the famous English painter. Even though I did not quite appreciate Timothy Spall in the two movies I have seen him in. But then maybe it's because there was not really a lot of Churchill in King's Speech and I was disgusted by Pettigrew and did not appreciate his work in that role :)

I think Timothy Spall is better known for his television work, especially here in the UK. But don't forget his lovely turn as the Beadle in Sweeney Todd - although admittedly that did seem quite like an extension of his HP role given that he was working once more with AR... :-))
