He's quite a performer. Wish I'd seen that Design for Living, and also Cock co-starring Ben Whishaw - but those were on before I was free to sneak off to London for Saturday matinees!
Going to The Old Vic for the first time in September - Richard Armitage in The Crucible. My theatrical education continues... aided by attractive male actors. :-))
This is a great review and made sense of a play that made no sense to me at all!
However, one thing we can most definitely agree on - Andrew Scott is a mesmerising performer and an absolute joy to watch. I just prefer to be watching him when he has better material to work with! - Which is why I would LOVE to see someone give him the opportunity to take on Richard III :)
He is like quicksilver, and made this play work in a way that I think few could. I must say that I really enjoyed it. But dammit I wish I'd been sitting where you were!
Was greatly amused that from where I was sitting in row J, the 'moat' was completely invisible. In fact I didn't realise until I read a review today that there was a moat at all! I was so surprised when suddenly the stage became awash with inky water and the soggy ghost of Marnie appeared. I'd no idea where the water was coming from. :-))

A while back I realised that I have seen Andrew Scott on stage in Coward's Design for Living a few years ago at The Old Vic.
