He does usually these days, but ran out of drying space and time at the end of this term. So yes, some time-management issues, but at least he prioritises his uni work. :-))
My son has a very stereotypical male brain i.e. no good at multi-tasking! He had a very heavy workload of all day labs and tests last week of term and thus no thought for anything else. I don't mind. I'd rather he did his uni work well than all his own laundry or buy me a bunch of flowers/whatever. :-)
My life is all about laundry management at the best of times. A few more loads makes little difference... :-)
Halfway through his very full time three year Chemistry degree course, our son is working hard at the subject while being increasingly sure that he does not ultimately want a career in science. We're proud that he is sticking it out nevertheless because he knows he is intellectually capable of getting that BSc then taking the transferable skills into another area. His ongoing gift to me is that he has not quit as he has had no spare energy or time to devise a plan B.
Daughter is also working hard at her internship, but since she's living at home at the moment, being catered for every day of the week. But she did all the cooking on Mother's Day, which was a rare treat for me!
I know you were worried about him finding a direction and how proud you must be that he is sticking this out. Laundry seems pretty far down the priority list in light of all that! And you reminded me that I need to start teaching Zack how to cook. :)
I hope that Zack will be more interested in good food than my boy who lives on ready meals by choice when away during term time. I feed him doubly healthily when he's home - but the news today that even five portions of fruit and veg a day is not enough makes for a major challenge! :-)
Make two cakes of different colours in square baking trays and then cut into strips, assemble and stick together with jam or soft butter icing. Stick a layer of rolled out icing around to hold the whole together.
This simpler Battenburg cake with rolled marzipan outside was C's first attempt at the technology:

I hope you reciprocate on their birthdays - your daughter deserves something really nice, your son ... not so much!
