Not really interested in the Olympics although I am sure I shall follow some of it on the day. The logo is atrocious and I was in Sainsburys last week staring at those hideous "things" thinking why? I couldn't we have had a cuddly little bear or lionin a running vest?

Speaking as a Londoner who, like you, has zero interest in sport, and will also be massively inconvenienced by the Olympics happening on my doorstep, I am nevertheless THRILLED to have the Olympics come to London. People from around the world will be coming to London and the eyes of the world will be on London in that fortnight. Which means a boost for our local economy, shops, restaurants, theatres etc. I will not be watching any of the sport, only the ceremonies, but I am hoping to persuade tourists here to watch the Olympics to try out all the Culture that is on offer in London - Museums, Art Galleries, Theatres, Cinemas, everything ( ... )
