You saw my pictures from the Dark Shadows set, didn't you? Looks typically weird Depp/Burton thing, not my cup of tea but will doubtless see it!

Thanks for the link. I just had another look! An excellent piece of gothic building. :-) Have been into various weird vampire stories myself of late as you know, so I'll certainly be curious to see what Burton & Co make of this one. Whatever they do to it, Dark Shadows could never be as gory as Sweeney Todd...

I remember running home from school to watch Dark Shadows also. I think it started at around 3:30 in the afternoon, so if you weren't quick enough getting home, you'd miss the beginning. It was a like most soap operas, melodramatic, but unique in that the characters were vampires, werewolves, and various other creatures as well as humans. Many of the creatures were sympathetic and there were various romantic involvements between species. Not unlike the Harry Potter or Twilight stories. I'm sure if I watched it today it would all seem so silly. But as a kid I found the whole thing fascinating and captivating. It will be interesting to see what they do with it.

I think I would've loved this as a child too. All we had in the UK was The Munsters. :-)

For some reason, I never saw or knew about The Adams Family as a child. Maybe it wasn't shown on Scottish television.
