So these two, connected by distant bonds of irony and hipsterism like time is connected to space, probably don't get along. The most they might have between them is Sollux's extreme disdain for them, a liking for Jade and living up to someone else's example ( Eridan's more vocal about it, Dave rarely let's on)

After a conversation with Nepeta and Feferi, Jade uses her avid interest in CARTOON SHOWS OF CONSIDERABLE NOSTALGIC APPEAL to force the two to spend time together; Dave will ascend to new levels of irony doing this and Eridan will become even hipper through endurance of mainstream human trash.
