Rose/Kanaya

Inspired by a conversation on the mspa forums (that I wasn't actually a part of, man why does this keep happening?).

Rose is about to do something dangerous, and Kanaya is in a position to stop her. However due to surrounding circumstances, any action Kanaya takes to stop Rose is going to basically make her Rose's moirail, and since she's flushed for Rose she really doesn't want that to happen. Kanaya has a personal struggle with herself, but in the end decides to put Rose's safety over her own wants, and stops Rose from doing the dangerous thing.

Fortunatly as a human, Rose is oblivious to the relationship implications here. Cue the end result of Kanaya's actions being fluffy makeouts/ask outs from Rose.

I did something something close to this (well, inverted: Rose panicking with indecision about helping Kanaya because it would influence their relationship) in the middle of A Hand in Holding Hands. In fact, I edited it today to work with some crit. But considering it's wedged in the middle of the fic (Ch 9 and 11) it's probably not as immediately accessible as you'd like :S.

I've been very busy. :( And I might have to start even more stuff (driving lessons, again) soon, which will just make things oh so much easier.

I'm not happy about it either. >:(
