I was listening to Mack and Mabel on my way home from work today, and this idea has sat in the back of my head for the last several hours.

I want Equius and Nepeta in a sort of AU moirallegiance version of Mack and Mabel - Nepeta thinks they would be purrfect for each other and is vocal about her pale feelings for him, but he, all too concerned with how he's too STRONG and he might hurt her, rejects her despite his own feelings for her.

They go their separate ways, Nepeta grows bitter toward Equius about the whole ordeal, and it's only after Nepeta is dead - killed by something she was hunting, or Gamzee maybe? - that Equius can manage to admit he wanted to be her moirail more than anything in the world.

Sorry this request is so specific; believe me, I'd write it myself if I had an inkling of talent.
