The communal greenhouse - communal in that everyone had pitched in to build it and that the fruits and vegetables were for everyone's benefit, although it was rare to see anyone working in there besides Jade and Kanaya - was usually a very quiet place; after years of living alone, neither gardener felt a particular need to converse while she worked. oh my god, i absolutely adore this. hilarious as hell, and i love the planning that's gone into how this sort of thing would work!
