[ accidental voice post ]

With the curse over the past two days, I almost forgot.

Three years.

[A long silence, obviously she doesn't realise she's recording. A heavy, frustrated sigh.]

Three-since Monday.

[Another pause, then a dull thud, a punch thrown against the wall.]

... d'Arvit.

25, voice post, home, the city

Three years means you'd have to have good friends here, though, doesn't it?

Yes and no. I have made good friends and I do have them, but everyone I knew when I first arrived isn't here anymore.

Three?

And here I thought the City was limited to trapping its citizens to three years.

I don't know. I know I am not the only one, though.

It is unfortunate... though I do not think our residency is that of a permanent one.

Are you quite alright, Miss..?

And I don't think everyone is stuck here for nearly as long as I have.

It's Holly, and I'm alright.

Wishing my network device didn't feel like randomly broadcasting, but otherwise, yes.

It does appear to enjoy that sort of thing on occasion. It makes one wonder about the artificial intelligence of it all.

Technology and magic seem to go hand in hand here. They do in my world too, but I know that's not the case everywhere.

Three whole years? I can't imagine.

Three years doesn't feel like a long time back home. You definitely feel the time pass here, though.

I can imagine, it's almost tempting to mark the time by curses.
