Having spent most of last night unable to sleep except for brief, fitful naps in between bouts of vomiting I am exhausted. For most of that time I was extremely delirious and had avery lousy time. When I was finally able to sleep for more than ten or fifteen minutes I had very odd dreams. One of these involved Volney. In the dream he was very ( Read more... )

it's about time you get those demons out.
i personally hate throwing up. i got turned off to the whole idea as a child. though it strengthens abs, i hear. I'm glad you're better!

i'm also glad you would give your lifeblood for dear Volney, if he could use blood, that is. your dream must mean you and Volney have the same blood type, therefore you are French on the inside.

There was a discussion of blood type in the dream, though my blood type was eleven, not French. Not to disparage the idea of French as a blood type.

I agree--demons out! I hope that you, and Volney, are to rights again soon.

But it was an interesting dream indeed! I wonder if you, at least in the dream state, were not yourself at all, but Volney instead. (That is, Volney represents the ailing you.) Was the operation ever discussed as to type or direction--was it merely a physical amelioration, or something else? And if Volney is you, then as the obvious donor (blood type 11?), you are ... well ... ?

Or perhaps this doesn't make sense after all. But I like the idea of French blood... :)

I too, like the idea of a French blood type.
I was thinking of it more as a dream about the bond which Volney and I share. I was sick, he was sick. He needed blood, I was the most likely donor.

That could be it as well. :) I tend to add too much meaning to dreams, I suspect. Feeling better?

Yes, thank you. I am feeling better. Much better.
I don't know if too much can really be read into dreams. They can be pretty telling.
