Talk about absolutely terrifying people around the world!! Sorry, but with this, it's not just bacon. We're talking sausage and pork chops and a lot of things used on southern dishes. And the shortage is gonna be global ( Read more... )

LOL! I could eat my weight in bacon. I put it in toast and make a sandwich. Add a little grits or scrambled eggs to the sandwich, and you've got a full meal.

LOL They had a similar story here a few days ago. Indiana pork industry says there's not going to be a shortage, but the prices are going to go up substantially due to the cost of feed.

Good thing I don't eat much pork.

I was in a pet shop the other day and overheard the owner saying they couldn't get pig's ears for ages. Apparently it's the year of the pig in China next year and they're stocking up...
Speaking as a vegetarian, I can recommend the 'not' bacon veggie option. Very nice and no cruelty involved. ;-)
