Is there a particular reason that when I get home from a very, very long and exhausting day at work, that everyone is either really annoying or whining about something? I've just spent over 6 hours with a smile plastered on my face, constantly repeating myself loudly and being much more socialible than I would prefer to be, I really don't want to ( Read more... )

It may not even be them, so much as it is you--you could be hypersensative after all that you've been through. Believe me, I go through this. I have a standing rule with anyone that I come into contact with after work: no bad news the first half hour. I don't care if the house burned down, don't tell me right then. Of course I'm exagerating; if it's an emergency, carry on. But regular bad news, grumbles, or complaints need to wait--and I tell them why, too. It's not fair to me to have to deal with that one more thing, and not fair to them to have to deal with the explosion of temper that comes with it.

Yeah, it is me. It's mostly that I get really grumpy when I'm tired. And I'm really not the most outgoing person in the world, it takes a lot out of me to be sociable around that many people for so long. But it just seems like Ever. Night. Four. Or. Five. People.... unload their problems of the world on my shoulders. *headdesk* Granted some of them do that ALL THE TIME and it's not like I don't care... but they're just not even.. normal about it.

I believe a great man once said... the universe hates you, deal with it!

And yes, the universe sucks. And another great quote...

"The universe... the universe hates me you know.... I don't know why, I have never done anything to the universe to-...... well all right, a few things! But after a while you'd think it'd be enough!"

Wow. I need a new scifi show to get into. I miss having random quotes about the universe hating people.
