Perhaps you should be the jolly old elf that delivers gifts? You certainly have inclinations to clashing colours such as red and green.

Noah could be your evil twin. The anti-Claus, if you will.

As for the mistletoe, there seems to be more to worry about than a few sprigs that coerce mild acts of intimacy. I have yet to catch Fran under it though.

Jolly old elf? I am not sure what you are speaking of, Balthier.

I did not think you needed a reason to be intimate with your partner? Are you not partners in that way as well?

Though I am glad to see you are doing better.

I have yet to find myself in a compromising situation... let us hope it stays this way.

Oh, a part of this holiday's tradition. The jolly fat man who brings joy and presents in a sled drawn by flying reindeer.

We're partners in whatever way we so please.

Indeed, thanks to all those in this apartment keen on keeping me in bed.

Oh?

... I am hardly either of those. Flying... what? Do you even know what reindeer are, Balthier? I do not.

Tis a nice partnership you have then.

We were only worried for your health, but tis good to see you understand that.

Aye... though I have not done much outside the apartment to give opportunity for it.

No, usually they're hung up as decorations...you pluck the berries with each kiss and after the berries are gone, it's considered bad luck to kiss under it any longer. Though with how ill-tempered these plants are, it'd be unluckier not to. There must be someone who's responsible for them.

The sort you speak of seem like an endearing tradition. I would not mind that as much, in all honesty.

Aye, someone indeed. I am sure we shall find out in due time, Miss Alice.

How are you fairing as of late?

I'm doing well! I was actually wondering about going Christmas caroling, but the mistletoe is an inconvenience.

What is Christmas caroling? If I could, I would be happy to help.

From what I understand, it seems we should be considering gifts for others.

captain_basch December 9 2008, 17:51:07 UTC
Is that so? There... is not much to give here.

Which is why it will be difficult. For my name day, Balthier gave me the hairpin I wear, which he admitted to having 'recovered'.

We can give in terms of personal gestures, perhaps, rather than material gifts.

That does sound like Balthier... but the gesture is nice of him.

... shall I swear my undying loyalty and sword to you again, Majesty? Though... I would hope you would already know you have it as long as I draw breath.

I would help anyway you have need of me.

Curious tradition indeed... But I am sure it is no different from Archades flying banners on Founding Day or lighting up the city at the turn of the Year.

Aye, tis true enough, Lord Larsa.

How are you fairing? My brother and you are well?

Certainly, Captain. I must confess, I am rather relieved by the quiet nature of events as of late. I have had ample time to settle in now.

It has been quiet. More so than usual.

Granted there are still deaths... but not as many as there typically are. Sad... how I can speak of it without feeling much sorrow.

Such is Discedo I suppose.
