...

What is this odd... [A manly yelp as he touches the mistletoe, a low curse in Landisian.]

Is this the odd plant people have been speaking about over the devices? Why is it hanging over our door? Tis a strange place for a plant.

mistletoe

It scorched my vest.

... why was it on your vest?

Because it electrocuted me when I picked it off and a few leaves came off and decided to add insult to injury.

There is another one else where? I am under the one in the door way... I do not understand why someone would have a plant here.

Are you alright? You were not hurt badly?

Pardon me. If I may ask you a question.

Tis fine, what may I help you with?

This land is referred to as 'Discedo,' and from what I've gathered the society is composed of individuals drawn here against their will by an unnamed force.

Is this the work of magic, gods or demons?

The force is not unnamed, from what we know they are called the Scientists. They each have names, though I do not know them... beyond... I think one is called Ace.

She is the most frequent to speak to us, if they do.

They seem to be hume like us, but I cannot be certain.

You must be new, sir?

Johnny has informed me it is used in a strange tradition in where any two who stand under it must kiss.

Humes do have such odd traditions.

... kiss?

Tis strange indeed.

I shall keep an eye out for these plants then. I would not wish to make things awkward if such a thing were to happen.

Keep a sharp eye.

They seem to be all around, or so many are saying.

Ah! Basch, are you okay?

I'm not sure where they all came from, to be honest. Maybe someone decided to hang them up all over the place...

I am well, thank you for your concern, Miss Nill.

Perhaps? Though why they would... one can only ponder.

Are you handling them all right? You have not hurt yourself as foolishly as I?

That's good... I thought I heard you let out a shout before.

Well, it is a part of Christmas... But there are so many!

Yes, I'm fine. I'm... actually trying to avoid them altogether where I can. ...? No, but... How did you get hurt?

Christmas? I do not know of this. Is it like the Discomas that people have mentioned lately?

Avoiding them seems like the best thing to do.

Twas more surprise than pain, but I touched one, and it shocked me. The pain is gone now, but I did not expect it, so hence the yelp you heard earlier.

...It shocked you? Better to leave it alone, unless it poses any threat.

I shall take a look at the plant myself.

Aye, I plan on leaving them be. I am not one for inflicting pain on myself unless necessary. Tis not one of those times.

Do be careful, Majesty. While not deadly, they do hurt enough.

Avoiding them is almost impossible. From what I see, they are growing simply everywhere...

The doing of the scientists, perhaps?
