I had forgotten that a year had gone by in this city... in that time my brother has gone and come again. Now he has once again left Discedo. Hm... while I would typically say twas for the best, I cannot truly say that this time. Either way, I hope his soul can rest in peace. Better in Ivalice than in this world.

Mm. It seems the Scientists have sent him home.

[They can be sad, until he comes back.]

It seems to happen here and there. Suddenly many people are sent back... though there does not seem to be any real pattern to it.

... did you lose someone as well?

You had a brother here?

Mm, it's unfortunate that he left... everyone seems to be losing people, these days.

Aye. Most knew him as Gabranth, but I knew him as Noah. My brother and twin.

Unfortunate, but that is the way of this city... and of life in all reality. Tis full of unfortunate happenings, but sometimes in the end it works out for something better.

Not that losing anyone is ever easy.

I see...

That's very true. Though Discedo in particular is more full of unfortunate happenings than any other place I've known. I wish... [People skills failing, Riful has difficulty remembering her 'I'm so sorry' pitch when she's hungry.]

I must agree. While I have seen much war and grief in my own world. The constant loss and sorrow of this city is harrowing.

Mm? [Poor Riful, she just wants to munch on someone.]

It is for the best. For he and us.

... aye.

The dead should lay in peace, not be dragged from their eternal rest to this city.

It is unnatural otherwise. Such things should not be tampered with.

The Scientists here do not seem to have much concern for that.

They bring those who have passed to this world and give them live, and if they happen to fall here, then merely repeat the process.

While I am glad for it, you are right. Tis unnatural.

It's never easy, no matter how many times they come and go.
