Yesterday I acquired an item, well many of one item, that would be very useful in regards to the Chocobos we have in the stables. Ghysal greens, which happen to be the favorite of these feathered steeds ( Read more... )

I suppose it couldn't hurt. Any seeds for the damn things?

There were a few seed stuck on the ends of some of the greens. I shall inquire to Miss Yorda if she could use them.

You would be interested in trying to befriend them? I would be glad to help you.

I would, if I may. I have always enjoyed spending time with the birds, as you know.

Of course, Majesty. I know well that you enjoy their company. You were always good with them. They seemed to grow fond of you quicker than most.

It seems some people are just Chocobo people while others Balthier are not.

Damned tetchy creatures, chocobos.

That would depend upon how they are treated.

That is excellent news.

[OOC: As far as I know, we still have them. I think we still have to figure out who's been taking care of the cow and chicken, but you guys have been caring for the chocobos, right?]

I agree. I hope that finally we can gain some ground with them, as they are much like humes and are not always willing to cooperate for free.

(ooc: Okies! I figured they were, just there had been no real mention of them so... but yay 8D! Yup we can say Basch was helping take care of them. I'm sure others would too, like Ashe for one. As for the cow and chicken hrrrrrm... I thought a few people offered to take care of them D8? Maybe they've quit by now IDK ;A;)

It is understandable. There are creatures in my own homeland which are quite like that as well.

[OOC: Yeah, they all dropped as far as I know. :( But even if they're gone, the chocobos are still there. XD]

Oh? What sort of creatures are they?

(ooc: Okie dokie then! Baschface will take care of the Chocobos. It'll keep him nice and busy~ as for the cow and chicken, they're in the stable too? He can handle them as well, but if anyone wanted to help he'd be happy to accept it.)

What's a chocobo?

A large flightless bird that we use to get around. They can also be used for work, pulling and carrying goods. They are also used in battle as steeds.

We currently have some in the stables. If you would like to visit them I would be happy to accompany you. They can be extremely friendly to people, if treated well.

Wow, that's gotta be a big bird.

I haven't been around a lot of animals, but... I guess it'd be ok, so long as they're friendly.

Mm. I have been told they are probably the same size as an ostrich... though I do not know what that is.

Chocobos can be tamed and if handled correctly, can be very friendly. The ones we have are still a bit distrusting, but there are a couple that are not so bad. I am hoping to gain their trust more with these greens I have now. They are quite fond of them.

They may still bite, just a warning. You are welcome to come see them if you do not wish to touch them though.

Them big buzzard's smell yer fear! Gotta show'em who's boss ya know? But in a way that doesn't get 'em all spooked, flighty lil bastards they are.

Don't look much but I'm pretty damn good with chocobos. Even got'a White one t'purr fer me!

I find working with them and letting them get use to you works better. Forcing them to do anything does not always end with the best results.

But at least with the Ghsyal Greens it shall give them incentive to be nicer.

If you are ever bored or have free time, help at the stables to care for them would be welcomed.

Course not! But ya can't let 'em walk all over ya either. Maybe you gotta different kinna breed over in your world, tho'.

Gotta put myself t'work somehow, I'll go nuts in this place without a bit'a production! I'll stop by pretty soon t'see what's what.

Of course not. It is... sort of like handling a young child I am sure. You must be stern, but to a point.

I shall see you when you do then. Ah, I do not believe we exchanged names before? I am Basch, and you?
