Because it's really not that simple. I'm sorry, but it's not. With events like this, me going in to stop one thing in the scenario just starts off a chain reaction, as soon as I'd gone in there I would have been part of the events there and history itself would have been changed. Do you really think that I wanted Ianto to die in all of that?
I don't know, and I don't care. But the fact of the matter is that you knew about what all was going to happen, and you just let it. So what the hell am I supposed to think?
