Hahahaha! You have just inspired me to read A Tale of Two Cities again! Not read it in years! This is an excellent story. Loved the cat and watering the plants, and the bit about the Mona Lisa had me in stitches. I must go back and see it again. I will probably be sniggering when I do as I shall think of you! :D
Thank you so much! My schooldays exposure to Dickens was not enjoyable so somehow I managed to give A Tale of Two Cities a pass for all these years. With age comes maturity (well, not necessarily in my case) and it was time for me to read it and I'm glad I did!
Oh wonderful; Blakeney off to Paris to save Darnay and Carton from the guillotine! Only it's the wrong Blakeney! Seriously, an inspired notion. She's insufferable; but oddly, there's a faint whiff of Percy in her point of view.
