The boss told us it’d be easy. The way to stop the sleuthhound was to snatch his flunky, the cripple who helps him snoop around. What could possibly go wrong?

Well, plenty!

Apparently he was a soldier and still had some fight in him. Nobody told us he was a doctor. Knew how to hurt a fellow, he did- took down two of my guys and raised such a ruckus that we were spotted. Fortunately, it was only by some kids, and they scarpered.

He’s unconscious, finally. My nose is broken. My carpet, ruined.

How could things get any worse?
