Soul Reapers have two primary purposes. Our first purpose is to guide pure souls, or Wholes, into the afterlife. Our second is to exorcise corrupt souls, or Hollows, so that they might become Whole or...be banished to the underworld.

And you are right. In my own world, our work and our selves are completely invisible to the living. Soul Society exists within its own self contained universe, even.

I had thought on why...either everyone here is super-spiritually inclined or...the Malnoso's technology negates the ethereal nature of my spirit body.

Well...not an accident, really...my hair turned white when I was still young. It only took it three days...I'm quite ill, you see.
