My Dearest Chris, you're being so hard on yourself. I request that you stop.
You couldn't SEE. Why didn't you tell your seargent that or get some help with it somehow? (I know, it's a dream, but still...I've made those decisions in dreams sometimes.)
The situation you were in was extremely difficult. How, exactly were you incompetent? I think you were doing your absolute best.
So yeah...I mainly hear too much self-criticism, and this comes from a World Class self-criticizer, and with much love.
