The first time they have sex post-serum, Steve couldn't quite control his strength. Nothing too serious, Bucky gets some bruises, but Steve feels terrible.

Bucky's just trying to figure out how to make it happen again.

FILL part 1

It was nearly two months after Steve’s dramatic one-man assault on Hydra’s factory, that the team received their first leave from the front lines. Technically speaking it wasn’t leave at all, officially they were in London to receive a full debriefing on what little Allied Intelligence knew about Hydra, and so the brass could quiz Steve on Johann Schmidt. But it sure felt like a break, away from the rattle of artillery fire, the dross of army rations, and the stress of living constantly on your wits.

The Brits had provided accommodation in the city, nothing fancy, but still a hell of a lot more comfortable than a bedroll on the ground. Nevertheless, Bucky had chosen to use some of his pay to rent a room above a pub, claiming that he needed just one night to himself without having to listen to the snoring of half a dozen other men. The others had taunted him mercilessly for it, teasing him that all he really wanted a private room for was so that he could bring a girl back.

They’d been half right.

It had been so different.

“Look at you...” Steve had never felt like such a heel in all his life. For as long as he could remember Bucky had been the strong one, the one who looked out for and protected Steve. Even since the serum - hell, even since hauling Bucky, weak, hurting and barely upright, out of a Hydra base - that perception of their relationship hadn’t gone away. Now it crumbled. Steve was the strong one now, ridiculously so, and he should have been so, so careful...

“Oh for Christ’s sake Steve...” Bucky cursed, suddenly starting forward and climbing roughly into Steve’s lap. “We’ve got one day left before we’ve got to report in and get shipped back out, and I was kinda hoping we could spend it in bed. This bed.” He emphasised his point by kissing Steve firmly on the mouth

I love, love your Bucky. Actually I love how you wrote them both (although for some reason the idea of pre-serum Steve trying to push Bucky away for kissing him like that makes me alittle sad for some reason...idk)
