If one was to start taking antibiotics for strep throat, shouldn't that person start feeling better and not worse?

I have the very same question about my medicane for my ear infection ans sinus problems. That was 2 weeks ago. Instead of better, I am sniffing and can't hear anything except what sounds like the peanuts parents speaking "whao wah woah" Are the docs just clueless or is it some cruel joke?

I know when I used to get strep throat, i'd start to feel better after a day to a day and a half of being on meds...but I guess it would all depend on what you're taking. Use some throat spray and cough drops though! Feel better!
