Holy crap it's been a while since I was on LJ. I'm so distractable, I see something that sounds fun and devote all my time to that and forget about whatever I was doing. I actually want to watch the Tales of Abyss anime pretty badly, of course I want to play the game first but it turns out that the copy I have hates me and refuses to load sometimes...

I recommend going ahead and watching the TotA anime, since it's such a loyal adaption. It's more fun adding gameplay to a story you already know than vice-versa, I theorize. I just started playing the game, but have been busy with Persona 3.

My friend's copy of TotA crashes his PS2 if he uses a certain special move during a certain key fight, to my great amusement.

I have a disappearance habit. I sort of...fade back into the realm of lurkers. It's always fun to get back for a while, though.

The Vorkosigan books are amazing. Having them recommended to me was on the best things that happened to me in my life and I'm not even exaggerating!

Me too! I have this friend who's a huge fan of them who had been trying to get people to read them for a while, and I figured, why not give it a try? I am so, so very glad I did.

I still have a lot more of them to read (I've gone through The Warrior's Apprentice, The Vor Game, Shards of Honor, Barrayar, Cetaganda, Ethan of Athos, and a couple of the short stories), a fact of which I am very glad. Need to find the next omnibus...

Hmm I think I'll give those books a try- always out for a good series.

I watched a couple episodes of TTGL and gave up, but hey, enjoy it.

Ooh, definitely look at that series.

I actually like the later parts of TTGL more (I don't think Kamina's all that, and his parts get obnoxious), but I don't blame you for not continuing.
