/FAILS AT PLOTS FOREVER
OKAY. So I've gotten some questions about what is and is not possible with regards to this plot so I thought I should clarify a few things and organize a bit so my brain doesn't explode.
FIRST: There will only be one worm that actually surfaces during the entire plot. That will be one of Slade's mechanical worms, and it will already be damaged from a fight with one of Sipsky's centipedes. Thus, it will be going haywire and causing a lot of collateral damage.
Normally, these worms are nigh impregnable and can only be penetrated by piercing its hide with something like a high-powered drill made of equally hard materials. However, its armor will be weakened in some places and therefore easier to take down.
Despite this, however, I would prefer if anyone attacking the worm had SOME problems with taking it down simply because it'll be shooting lasers and thrashing about. VERY hazardous, in other words, so no immediate takedowns, at least at first.
SECOND: I know some people have expressed interest in investigating the happenings after the fact. I'd have to talk to Ian and anyone else who wants to do so to have clearer picture of what's okay and what isn't, but for now, the things that will be absolutely definite are: 1) Slade is at least partially responsible for the earthquakes, 2) there's a shitload of tunnels and stuff underground, as well as wormie parts, both organic and mechanical, scattered about, 3) the dead centipedes will be recognizable as the ones from January and potentially associated with the HIVE (since Doctor Katz posted about them).

The lab will be partially destroyed in the fight, but recovery efforts can be made to clean it up. The tunnels will be weak and prone to collapsing due to how the centipedes get around -- vomiting acid, natch -- so it'll take the investigative team at least three days to get from the surface to Sipsky's lab. After that, depending on who's involved in the clean-up effort, it could take anywhere from a day to a week to clean out all of the damage.
Inside the lab, the computers are all wrecked, and will blow up even further if technopaths try to get their hands on them There are cages. ROWS AND ROWS of cages. And they're all empty.
There are notes on the porter, but it's not anything anyone doesn't know about already, and there appear to be cybertronics left around. All of them are very advanced, and human-sized, and most look like they've been stripped down, like Sipsky was taking them apart.
I'll also say that any information pertaining specifically to Sipsky will be unaccessible at this time since Slade will be attempting to cover his ass (and Sipsky's).
THIRD: I have decided tentatively on a time for this plot to begin. Until further notice, consider the first tremors beginning at around 5:27 PM EST on Saturday afternoon. The earthquakes will vary in strength across the City, depending on how violent the underground war of the worms becomes, and will largely be left up players' discretion. At 6:14 PM EST, Slade's robotic worm will surface and start wreaking havoc on the nearby area due to a critical malfunction. By about 6:43 PM EST, the worm will be destroyed by any heroes called to the scene. Then at about 7:09 PM EST, the tremors will completely stop, thus ending the plot.
After that, characters will be free to engage in clean-up, tend to the wounded, begin investigating, etc.
FINALLY: Because I really, really want this to be awesome for all involved, I'd like to make an official list of everyone who would like to be involved.
