So what happened between 2:00AM - 4:00AM EST around the City on October 9th, 2011? Well Deitech exploded. Deitech! The software subsidiary that produced Oscorp's technological material for their weapons manufacturer department. You remember them, right? No? Well. Deitech was feverishly connected to Oscorp's R&D, in addition to being one of the companies that Norman Osborn is a significant shareholder of. So oh no, I bet Oscorp stock is going to drop a bit since Deitech exploded, given that losing a limb can have a crippling effect. Oh, poor Norman! All the bad things happen to him, it's like someone has a vendetta or something.
Deitech has three major locations; two New York locations and the main manufacturer's hub in Jersey. With the New York locations, one was upstate and the other (the CEO department) was in Lower Manhattan.
Somehow the handful of security guards and straggling cleaning staff was evacuated safely, in all three locations. No surrounding property was greatly damaged, the explosive used were extremely precise. The bare skeletal structures of the buildings remain, but not much else. However, there is one semi-recoverable video recording, hosted by the upstate branch of Deitech. It's a flash of an image, a brief flicker:
SO THE FUTURE COSTUME HAD, LIKE, VERY PRECISE FOAM MOLDINGS AROUND HIS FACE (like highlighting his cheeks, the bones around his eyes, etc) which made the mask a little less baggy and more like a very freaky face, though it was still clearly made out of a pillowcase. While the present one (the one caught on camera) has the same general thing, the moldings are much less precise, sort of lumpy, and he looks much more like he has a loose bag on his head than an actual mask.
Darkturian had fake plastic teeth. Current Katurian doesn't.
Darkturian's mask was stained yellow from age and... blood... and Current Katurian's is relatively clean.
Darkturian had an actual lower half of his costume (light colored gloves, hidden pockets, rubber boots) and Current Katurian is just wearing black/dark gray clothing (jacket, pants, shirt, gloves) that you could possibly imagine someone wearing in their day to day life if they liked dark colors and didn't have a pillowcase on their head.
