POLICE STATION I AM NOT SURE IF THIS IS KOSHER OR NOT SUP GUYS pullingyourlegs April 17 2010, 00:38:08 UTC
So how 'bout them racist vampires, police plaza? They should be coming in pretty hard and fast right now, unless you've barricaded the door. But given the small and familiar girl who's following in their wake, barefoot and placid, maybe they're not your biggest concern.

The front door? No, that's gone. It's just wood and glass. A barricade wouldn't hold, and wouldn't provide any offense anyway. The main foyer is yours.

The force has fallen back to behind the entrance to the holding cells. A heavy, barred gate separates them from their attackers, as well as riot gear and shields. They shoot from between the bars.

Pete is frying with one hand, and shooting them in the head when they're down with the other. Double fisting.

Does it ever feel good to pounding the bad guys again. Cole joins up with Pete, giving him a silent nod while he goes to shooting off lightning with one hand and holding up a floating shielded formed and thanks to his manipulating of electricity.

After a moment of that he claps both hands, apparently forming something in them, before tossing a literal electric grenade out.

"How many of these assholes ARE there?!"

"I ain't countin' heads, Sparky, just tryin' to blow 'em off," Pete grunts. "We can count the bodies after."

Because this is take-no-prisoners time. In some ways that makes it easier: just blast away, like it's a videogame. In other ways... This is not a videogame. Pete tries not to think about it. He also tries not to forget it.

TURING - halp, Mr. Hundred officerslinger April 17 2010, 01:03:22 UTC
At 11 at night, Turing is full of guests, and cruising on its nightly pass over the City. The nightclub more or less runs itself; Robyn Slinger defers to the native club manager in everything besides maintaining the airship. She's in her quarters testing connections on a new toy when the missile lock alarm goes off.

It takes her a moment to place it - that alarm has only sounded during staff training drills. The last one was months ago. Then the first impact hits the aft force fields, and the whole gondola shudders, lights dimming. As she rushes towards the bridge, the second impact rocks the zeppelin, sending her slamming into the corridor wall. Patrons are screaming over the thrum of the engines. Reaching the control room, Robyn opens the intercom and barks "This is an emergency evacuation. Proceed calmly to the shuttle bay. Follow all instructions from the airship staff." Please guys, nobody freak out. It's holding. It's holding. She frantically plots a new course, but they're right over the upper west side. It'll take time to ( ... )

"Are you alright? Can you get everyone out?"

HERE I COME TO SAVE THE DAAAAAY homomachinis April 17 2010, 01:58:54 UTC
He didn't do this shit anymore. He did not do this shit anymore.

But when the Major, some fat fuck of a nazi, started talking about nuclear bombs and mayhem, Mitchell did the only thing he could do in this situation. Like the last time, and his memories were still fresh in his mind of that day, he pulled open a box in his MAC apartment. There were things he'd assembled, familiar, but needed. Sure, he didn't really need them, but it was a comfort in a city filled with superheroes.

He pulled the home-sewn leather out, strapping it on, before the jetpack, neon green gun, and lastly, the helmet.

Fuck he wasn't supposed to be doing this anymore.

He launched into the air, before his eyes caught sight of something very, very bad, the missile arcing and then hitting the Turing, a nightclub high above the city.

"Mother fuck!" he growled, turning his trajectory in that direction.

Agatha was behind the counter when the vampires showed up. Her patrons screamed as the big plate glass windows were broken, and she whipped a very large gun out of seemingly nowhere (it was under the counter) to repel them.

Oh goodness, this didn't look good.

She commanded her 'bots to lock down the storefront to keep the vampires out of the windows, but left the door so she could get passers-by in. Standing in the doorway, she shot at any vampire head she could see. Bright blue beams of energy seemed to work well enough on them.

But some help would be most appreciated.

Geddoe liked to walk the city streets until very late at night, familiarizing himself with the layout and memorizing the symbols on the signs. He didn't pay a hell of a lot of attention to his comm, though. So his first indication that something was very, very wrong was the sound of explosions overhead - far enough away to be muffled, but still happening. The second was the mob of people trying to break into the store just up the block ( ... )

"Ehhh...." Rua looked around as he drove down the street. "Are you sure this is the way to the prison!?" He asked Ruka, starting to turn his head back towards her, but catching himself and keeping his eyes on the road. Behind him, Ruka was looking at the map displayed on her communicator, lips drawn in a thin line ( ... )

If Agatha was looking for help in repelling the vampires, she certainly wouldn't be finding it in one of her most loyal customers. At the first sign of trouble, Taiitsu had dove for cover and was currently hiding behind the serving counter.

All he'd wanted was a mochacinno. This just wasn't fair.

Trowa flicked off the override mic he'd just used to issue evacuation orders just as Quatre began to mutter something about North Korea; he nearly missed it in the rumble of the tower shaking from the impact. Any words he was going to say in warning regarding mission security were swallowed when the lights went off, causing him to tense up a degree in preparation. Likely not a coordinated strike, that; just side effects of the damages so far, no doubt. Still, if the information he'd gotten off of the one imPort--Grey? He thought he remembered reading the name once. In any case, if it was right ( ... )

It was a sudden chaos--well, sudden for someone hardly in the mood to try and follow that damn network of strangers and inquiries and empty promises. Not a day had passed and already Zelgadis was starting to hate this City all over again with a fresh distaste. A third more human than before, his ears were still sharp and acute to the sounds thundering around him, accented by civilian panic. Hardly two minutes into this and it was already a damn mess.

He wasn't used to the bite of stone and schrapnel anymore; golem skin spoiled him to those kinds of hurts. Now without that shield, he found himself in a tighter pinch than he would've liked. Tch! Annoying! A quick Ray Wing and a barrier for support and he could...

...But he wouldn't.

"Dug Haut!" Zelgadis slammed his palm against the concrete, and at his command the ground ahead rumbled and shot up in man-sized spires, thwarting the movement of a pack of those...whatever they were. Mazoku? Well, if that was the case, then he had the right medicine to fix that.

So many of the buildings were under attack, Link couldn't decide which one to go and try to protect. He ended up picking the one that happened to be closest to where he was; Winner Corp.

Huh, he wondered to himself, I wonder what it won?.

No time for that! He had monsters to get rid of. Luckily, his sword had traces of silver in it; enough to mortally wound the vampires who were now swarming the building. He spotted a blue man with pointed ears like Liadrin and Koltira, but he didn't recognize him.

"Sir! Are you ok?!"

NPC Prison hopefully this is okay iron_fister April 17 2010, 03:14:55 UTC
There wasn't much about the City's main prison that was different from Rikers Island. At least, from what Danny could see, at least. Which wasn't much, considering the only things he could see included a faint island-outline on the horizon, a long bridge, and the hundreds of escaped prisoners now facing him on said bridge. Some had crowbars, some had taken back their confiscated items (guns, knifes, etc.), but all were armed and dangerous.

Not to mention those pesky vampires amongst them.

Danny took a deep breath, focused his thoughts, and charged into the crowd, fists glowing with chi. This was going to be a long night.

Dani had been walking out of a bookstore when events suddenly started cascading throughout the City, putting her on alert and checking her communicator regularly. Voices were popping in and and out and she was about to decide to head back to the Institute when the roaring crash of buildings being hit rang throughout the neighborhood, causing panic.

Dani ran towards the building, which turned out to be a major City prison. Various criminals were running out onto the street. Some were looking to just get away while some had already begun attacking citizens. Dani quickly checked what she had on had before getting into the fray. She wondered if anyone else was around.
