He'd been out there forever. Slipstream wasn't one to worry about her brooding leader and alternate creator, but she couldn't help it. He'd been standing out there in the rain for long enough for his human body to catch some hideous disease or something.

So, the femme tugged on her jacket, then slid the balcony door open and stepped out to stand next to him at the railing.

If he wanted to talk, he would. She could stand there for awhile in silence. Her being out there was as much a show of making sure he knew she hadn't abandoned him yet as it was some perverse urge of hers to prove that she could handle anything he could.

He sighed, and continued to rub at his hand. He'd cut that deeper than he thought - it looked like there was a bit of a spar sticking out of the railing. He'd have to get that fixed. He could actually see all the way down to the mechanical components in his left hand. He was lucky he wasn't human, otherwise he'd be leaking red all over the place. Frag, as it was, he bled a little energon, a pale purple glow welling up from the wound.

He noticed her, but did not acknowledge her presence for a few long moments, instead continuing to look out across the city.

"Do you want something?" he asked, suddenly, an edge of annoyance in his voice. He didn't want to chase her off, but her presence was a distraction.

"You'll get sick out here," she said quietly, sighing. "Surely whatever you're thinking about can be done inside where these stupid bodies won't slag themselves." Her voice held a note of concern, uncommon for her.

The rain wasn't that bad on her face, though she'd prefer to be dry and warm. Inside, and everything. He'd better appreciate that concern.

That tone actually gave him pause, and he turned to look at her. For the briefest instant, his expression sofened.

Then he was back to his normal self. "Tch, what, you're actually worried about me? Since when?"

He paused.

"I'll be fine."

A beat.

"But if you insist, I'll come inside."
