AFTER DINNER

There's plates to be put away, washed, and dried. There's a living room with a big screen TV and various gaming consoles. There's the outside and it's a beautiful night in the City. There's also the students' rooms, but you'd have to ask them permission before entering first.

"Well they did a bang up job." Dani checked around the area before looking at Sam closely. "Have you got a thing for Sally?"

Sam blinked. "Huh?"

Dani scanned his face before rolling her eyes. "Of course you don't get it."

"Uh...." Sam just stared at her. "Okay...?"

Dani sighed. "Sally's a really nice girl."

"Yeah, she is," Sam agreed. "Pretty good skater, too."

"Yeah, she's working really hard to be stronger," Dani replied. "You've both been helping each other a lot lately."

"Yeah," he nodded with another smile. "Ah take her flyin' a lot. Cheers her right up."

"Seems like it cheers you up too," Dani replied.

"Yeah," he pushed his hair back a little. "Flyin' with her is pretty fun."

Dani watched him for a moment before turning back out towards the yard. "That's good to hear Sam."

"Have you talked to Jay lately?"

"Yeah, uh, we're the ones who prepared the turkey," he admitted.

"Oh, that explains why it tasted funny," Dani quipped.

"That's good to hear though. He seemed to be doing better tonight."
