WHO: Dick and Wally. Tim later. WHERE: Places. Mostly the Titans Tower. WHEN: Whenever. WARNINGS: None. SUMMARY: More consequences to Roy being ported out. FORMAT: Quicklog.
[It's not too hard to find a certain bird if you know when and where to look, really. Having super-speed helps too so once Wally's left the Tower, it doesn't take him long at all to find the bird he's looking for.
He runs up the side of the building Dick should be landing on soon and waits there with the note.]
[Wally wears yellow and red, so it doesn't take much time for Dick to spot him bellow. He doesn't usually patrol at night, and it only takes a quick look to see that Wally is looking up at him, and so comes the conclusion he was looking for him.
Dick lets himself fall for a few meters before throwing a line to catch him before landing not far from where Wally's standing.]
Hey. [He smiles and takes the last few steps to reach his friend.]
[He extends his arm so he can grab the piece of paper, and he has to stop his hand from shaking a little. He'd been doing a good job not getting worked over Roy leaving. He'd hoped he'd come back under a week, like him and Tim had, but it's over a week, now. He's not sure if holding on the hope Roy will show up again is a good idea or not anymore.
He swallows and reads the note; it's not long, just a few words saying that if Roy ever leaves, all his stuff is Dick's, if anyone else touches it, he'll come back to hurt them.
The crazy idea to get someone else to touch Roy's stuff so Roy'll come back crosses Dick's mind right away.]
I guess this means I'll have to go back to the Tower, [he tries joking, but it comes out a little sad.]
[The rooftops are all the same. Same height, same length, same colours, and even if it should be weird, it's not. When he looks down, he doesn't see the City or Gotham, he sees a mix of both. The atmosphere is heavy and dark like Gotham's, but the people are missing. When he sees someone, the vibe coming from them is the one of people in the City.
He keeps moving quickly, nearly flying, jumping from building to building even if the distance between them is far too much for anyone to be able to jump it without super powers.
He's smiling, he is going somewhere, and he doesn't stop running until he's there. It's just another rooftop, but when he looks down, twenty stories below, he can see a woman and three thugs, and a dark figure plunging onto them from the shadows. No matter that he shouldn't be able to see anything from that height.
He jumps down, lets himself fall until he's close enough to hear what's going on --

[Wally's dreams vary. Lately, with all that's been going on, there have been more nightmares but sometimes his dreams are normal. Like tonight.
He's with his good friend Tommy Elkin in the forests of Blue Valley. It's usual. Normal. Home.
Only Tommy's wearing his Cherokee clothing and Wally doesn't know why but he knows it means something is wrong and it gives him a sense of urgency. Especially when Tommy beckons for him to follow him as he starts running through the forest.
Naturally, he does. Though he has to wonder when Tommy has gotten so fast.
There are obstacles in his way that make it harder for him to follow Tommy. Like pits of king cobra snakes and somehow it doesn't seem weird for those to be in Nevada but the panther is pretty weird

[Dick is disoriented. He knows he just woke up from a dream, but doesn't really get it at the same time. He's still exhausted but in no way tired or any close to falling asleep again.
It's dark and he can't see anything, which doesn't help at all with the bad feeling that's winning over him. Normally, it would take a little while, still, for him to figure out exactly what's going on and to bring his breathing back to anything resembling a normal pace, but then there's someone touching him and talking.
The words don't really go anywhere, but he knows it's Wally, and he grabs in front of him, wherever his friend is, until he has an arm around Wally's shoulder.
He clings to it, closes his eyes tight and buries his head into Wally's neck. It's not in anyway a comfortable position for either of them, but there's no way Dick is moving right now. He just needs a few seconds to calm down, that's all.]
[It really isn't comfortable at all and Wally doesn't actually mind that much but it'll be easier on the both of them if it was made more comfortable. He can do that.
Wally wraps both his arms around Dick and pulls him up with him into a sitting position. He lets go with one arm for a moment so he can reach over to the night stand and turn on the light of Mr. T's tank so they at least have some of that.
Then he just settles back in the dim light, holding Dick close and murmuring soothing words as he rubs Dick's back in an attempt to help him calm down.
Whatever that nightmare was, it must have been pretty bad for Dick to react like this and that worries Wally though he doesn't voice those worries yet.]
[Dick obviously didn't want to worry Wally any more and the best way to do so had seemed to just leave the room.
He's not sure it really was the brightest idea, but he needs the time to cool down a little. The nightmares have sucked pretty hard recently, and he's mad at himself for not having thought about the possibility he'd have a bad one when he'd agreed to sleep in Wally's room.
He's going to go to the kitchen and stay there until he thinks he can sleep again. Maybe Wally will be asleep again if he takes enough time, which would be good to avoid questions.]
[Of course, Tim has been out patrolling most of the night. That's no surprise. What is a surprise is who happens to be in the kitchen when he gets back in and goes to get a drink before sleeping.

I've got a message for ya. [He holds the note up between two fingers to indicate it before offering it to Dick.]
It's from a certain archer friend of ours.

That thing Dick didn't do tonight because he... went swimming. He is so responsible.]
Uh. Hey? [He looks down at his hands -- at least they're not shaking?]

Are you okay?

And it made time pass a little faster, so hopefully Wally will be asleep again, now.
He slips into his room slowly, careful not to make any sounds.]

Not fully anyway. He's dozed off a little and so he doesn't notice Dick slipping back into the room.
But he will notice it when Dick gets back to bed.]

And so he slips back under the covers on his (temporary-only-for-tonight) side of the bed without thinking that Wally might so anything now.]

A yawn and then a sleepy mutter of,] Hey. Feeling better now?
