Unfortunately for Wally, Bart was in his room and already at the door before Wally could finish knocking it.

Needless to say, he's surprised to see him at his door, they had been avoiding each other usually. Or rather, the two of them always seemed to hang out in separate groups within the tower, it was mostly to avoid awkward conversations.

"Hey, what's up?" he blinks, not awkward at all.

Wally blinks a little in surprise but quickly composes himself. Bart's a speedster too, of course he'd be fast to answer the door. This saves him some dreadful waiting at least and now he really can't change his mind and run.

He moves a hand through his hair and hopes he doesn't look nearly as nervous as he feels. Though the anxious look on his face and the way he soon starts fiddling with the end of his sleeve probably make it pretty obvious but it's hard to stay still and pretend everything is cool right now.

"Um, I was wondering if we could maybe talk?"

"Yeah, sure," Wally's nervousness must be contagious because Bart feels himself itching to just take off.

He thinks about letting Wally into his room, if this is a private conversation, it would make sense. But he doesn't want to trap himself so instead he steps out and closes the door behind him. Out in the open, this is much better.

Wally was hoping to get invited in because this isn't a conversation to be held out in the open and this turn of events makes him even more antsy. He bites his lip and glances down the hall while he tries thinking of a way to start this conversation.

"How old are you really?" He just blurts the question out. That was probably a little too blunt and abrupt but he can't take it back now so he waits for an answer and glances back to Bart nervously.
