Parks were easily one of Mog's favorite places, in the City. Aside from the tunnels that reminded him so much of the mines, but, well, everything else was /crowded/! It was hard for a Moogle to get around when everybody was pushing and shoving and sometimes staring and he was, right now, quite happy to get back to nature. Sure, it wasn't a large place, but it was enough for a simple Moogle like him, and that was what counted. You could always find something interesting in these if you looked hard enough!

Apparently, right now, that 'something interesting' was a human practicing a sword. It was rare enough here that Mog couldn't help but stop and watch, curiosity evident on every one of his features - inhuman pom and wings included.

Josh had been practicing for a while when he noticed the strange creature looking at him. He had never seen anything that looked quite like it. Well, that wasn’t true, he’d never seen anything in real life that looked like it. He moved through a few more moves before he stopped and turned to the creature, giving a hesitant way.

“Hello?” he called out.

[There is a girl in an ill-fitting dress and slippers just standing and watching.]

[Josh noticed her and stopped immediately, she looked like a street person, almost.]

Hey there.

[Wu doesn't see many people fighting with swords in this day and age. It's a shame; there is a certain beauty to bladework, even though she mush prefers projectile weapons. When she sees Josh moving through sword forms in the park, then, she stops to watch for a while. He's obviously working through new material -- his movements aren't quite as smooth and automatic as those of a master -- and eventually Wu can't help but pipe up.]

You aren't doing that properly, you know.

[Josh could feel the eyes on him as he worked but did his best to ignore them. If he couldn't focus with someone just watching him he knew he wouldn't be able to when in a real fight. When the woman spoke up, he winced just a bit. She sounded a lot like Scatty just then.]

My shoulder is still too low, isn't it?

[Wu nods. Normally she watches her accent more closely, but in her excitement it slips a little bit more than normal.]

Yes. You need watch your feet, too... but pffft, no one learn that until they fight.

[She folds her arms over her chest and smiles lightly. For all that she's just about five foot nothing and looks like she might blow away in a strong wind, it's very obvious from her posture that she knows this from experience.]

Oh, right, Scatty keeps telling me about my feet.

[Josh adjusted his stance just a bit, trying to bring his shoulder up a bit more despite how tired his body was. Even though the woman was small, he never doubted she knew what she was talking about. After all, Scathach looked somewhat unassuming and she was the most fierce person he had ever met.]

Better?
