This Gambit person had certainly captured her interest. Not only his voice--which, if she wasn't mistaken, held a Cajun accent--but even his demeanor. He seemed rather laid-back, a trait she hadn't noticed in many X-Men during her stay. It was something of a nice change, to say the least.

The redhead quickly changed into fresh clothes--a simple white tank top and white jeans--before making her way towards the gymnasium, where their meeting had been arranged. On the way, she flexed her fingers and took extra-long strides, stretching on the way. She didn't want to keep him waiting when she got there, after all.

Compared to the huge gymnasium, she looked quite a bit smaller than she actually was. But then, her shorter stature had always seemed to give her some kind of advantage during battle. The vampire gave a close-lipped smile upon approaching, keeping her teeth hidden. For the time being.

"Good afternoon."

Ah, so this was Scathach. Interesting. He may have been a bit over his head, from the look of it. The woman was a lithe, svelte thing, moving with a sort of graceful ease he suspected must have come from either first-hand experience or years of training. In the case of the latter, her stature meant that he'd have to mind over-extending himself; she seemed like she would make him pay for any mistake, no matter how small.

Good. He could've used the challenge. So many years of practicing with the other X-men had ingrained their fighting styles into Remy's brain, leaving him with little to do in the way of actually bettering himself. So many of the other X-men also relied on their powers to spar each other -- Wolverine notwithstanding -- so a straight up brawl was a welcomed change of pace.

With a flourish of the hand, Remy smiled, bowing slightly at the waist. "Tiens, miss Scathach. It is a pleasure."

A small smirk curved her lips at his greeting; she wasn't quite sure if it was mocking or genuine, though either way, she returned it with a bow of her own. She didn't add in any special gesture, of course, but it was a bow nonetheless. For her, it was more out of custom than a need to impress him.

"Just Scathach, please," she said once she had straightened. She gave a small smile. "Miss makes me feel older than I truly am." The redhead had neglected to leave her twin swords at her own dojo, and slipped the sheathes from her back as she continued to speak.

"I trust you are not opposed to a battle without powers?"

He had come here expecting it, really. Not knowing what an opponent's powers were, even if they were just a sparring partner, had done the Cajun in more than once in the past. And, if she wanted to lay down the ground rules, then so be it; who was Remy to not indulge a pretty face, after all?"

"If ya want, den I'm only happy t'oblige." he replied with a shrug, almost making a show of it: his hands held out and away from his body, arms bent at the elbows, stance loose and inviting, almost the perfect target. "I ain't never been one t'turn down any'ting suggested by a woman, so why start now?"
