Eve arrived about fifteen minutes late and sighed softly. If there wasn't strawberry ice cream they may have a strawberry flavored pie. Before she had left the apartment the girl had taken a couple aspirin but her back still felt a little stiff. Either way the nanobots would take care of that as they always did.

She leaned against a wall, wearing a black tank top, pants, and black leather boots. Eve's knee length hair was pulled back into a pony tail so it wouldn't get in the way. She reached up to brush the bangs out of her eyes and glanced around, wondering if she would see anyone she knew.

Near didn't want to announce himself, as he wasn't sure where M was, and wasn't really looking forward to seeing him. He spotting Eve and moved towards her. His shoes felt funny on his feet, the boots fit him fine, but he wasn't used to them. The tight fitting jeans didn't feel tight either, but he wasn't going to complain. He had wanted to look less like a little kid for this party. It was his first after all. He loosened the top button on his shirt and gently tapped Eve's shoulder.

"Are parties normally this loud?" His hair was falling into his face and he was standing up straight, making him a clear five foot. It would have bothered him, if he were anyone else.

At the tap to the shoulder Eve turned slightly so she could see Near clearly. The girl had to admit he looked quite a bit different. The outfit looked nice on him though. "The only party I have been to was a bit more sophisticated... It was a bit loud from chatter but more so from music."

The party itself brought back not so distant memories. Of wanting to just know what a party was like. Just out of pure curiosity. She then smiled at him slightly. "You dressed up."

"I decided to actually put on a pair of the many jeans I own. I do not consider this dressed up." He gave her a small smile, trying to make it as less creepy as he could.

"Will you be joining in the pie fight?"

Jessica hadn't ever really done the whole “party” thing before, or much of anything, for that matter. But just because Peter had never been one to get himself involved with that sort of thing didn't mean that she wouldn't like them. Well, necessarily.

She'd borrowed some civilian clothing from two of the girls Peter lived with, and awkwardly pulled it on. Technically, it was her first time out of costume, and she was wearing girl's clothing at that. Great.

Taking a deep breath, she made her way towards the mansion-Captain America's mansion-suddenly feeling like this was a bad idea. For one, there was the whole matter of people seeing her face; and she had no idea how many people knew what Peter looked like. She wasn't sure what her cover story should be-a long lost sister might do the trick.

Awkward, she thought, standing in the doorway of the mansion, looking around. Fantastic. She'd even managed to turn up early. Awkwardness was definitely going to be the theme of the night.

Well. There was always pie, if things started going ( ... )

Steve was very impressed by the way Jullian was handling things so far, but it was time for the real fun and he knew it. He looked around the room once before placing his fingers to his lips and blowing loudly. The whistle was loud enough to rattle the windows he was sure, but he didn't care. He had gotten everyone's attention ( ... )

Matt had given him directions and Mello had waited long enough that he felt somebody not likely to throw shit at him would be there by the time he arrived, but nobody was. Except Eve - he saw her across the room and gave a little nod - and Near, who was a surprise; he shot an idle glare at him across the room, for the sake of tradition. Matt wasn't there, though; typical of the lazy bastard, but always irritating.

He'd traded out the leather for cotton, not because he was anticipating getting hit but because he felt he should look as if he were. Duo was nowhere to be seen, which, of course, meant nothing at all. He leaned against the wall for a few minutes, watching the goings-on, before straightening up and meandering through the crowd. On edge. Always.
