Sally was on cloud nine and had been since walking into 'All That Jazz'. She was still beaming brightly when she left because OH MY GOD DAZZLER WORKED THERE TOO. She slid through the mansion, passing the main room but stopped when she spotted Sam and slid on in.

"I LOVE MY WORK!" she told him and then realized she probably shouldn't be yelling if he was watching television...except the channels were being flipped through. "Nothing interesting on?"

"Nope," was all he said, not even looking up at her. He was kind of failing at the whole making Sally smile once a day thing right now, but she did sound pretty happy. She could live without his goofy face for a couple days.

She let her shield dissolve and sat down on the couch. "Not even that one show you were telling me about that you guys always watched? The love something or other?"

"No, gotta watch that on Youtube. It ain't on TV no more," he told her flatly.

[He flies over the back of the couch and plops down, half on top of Sam like the clingy little shit he is.]

You and Josh fighting again?

No. He's kinda mad at me, but Ah think we're good?

It took less than thirty seconds of passing by the living room to realize that something was Very Wrong in Samuel Guthrie's world and Rachel immediately veered off her path to find out what it was. She walked up and sat herself on the couch, facing him.

"Talk. I can feel the gloom and doom from the other side of the school."

[ahhmahgawd]

"Seriously?" he gaped. "Come on, Rachel. Ah can't be that bad."

[temporaltossed]

"Okay, maybe not the school, but certainly the hallway." She gave him a little nudge, "C'mon. Spill. You're upset about something."

[ahhmahgawd]

"Ah got dumped on Valetines Day," he sulked. "That's all."

Amara had been preoccupied since Illyana had shown up in the city, mostly keeping to herself in order to sort out her thoughts. She had always suspected there was something... a little off about Illyana and now she was convinced of it than ever. It didn't seem like something the others were alarmed about, though, so for the most part she decided to keep it to herself. She didn't really need another confrontation from the younger girl about her relationship to a certain blinded empath, not when she was slowly but surely healing from it.

She spotted Sam looking just a bit disgruntled and attacking the television with a vengeance. Thrown out of her own thoughts, Amara made her way over, leaning on the back of the couch behind him.

"You've already gone through every channel three times, Sam. I don't think you're going to find anything new."

[ahhmahgawd]

"Huh?" he dropped the remote at the sound of her voice, looking up to see one of his favourite people. "Hey, 'Mara."

[turns_to_fire]

She wondered if he had something on his mind but it was probably best not to push him. He would tell her, if he wanted. For now, Amara would just sit and talk with him and maybe get him to relinquish the remote before he broke something.

"May I sit with you?"

Amara bet it had something to do with Tabby.

It always had something to do with that girl.

"Of course, Darlin'," Sam told her with a forced smile. "How's your day been so far?"

Illyana wasn't exactly good when it came to conversing with others but she was trying to at least make an effort to reach out to the others. That didn't stop her from hesitating for a few minutes before she actually approached Sam. Something seemed off about him but she didn't really know what to say.

"Isn't the point to actually watch something?"

He looked up at her, smiling a little. He was glad Illyana was back in the city, for sure. Even if they hadn't talked as much yet, he was glad to have her around.

"Yeah, Ah suppose so. How're you doin' 'Yana?"

She sat down next to him smiling back at him awkwardly.

"I am good." She paused for a moment. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, fine," he assured her. "You adjustin' to The City okay?"
