He's not the only one. While Xavin might not be perched on a rooftop for the same exact purpose, she's there watching nonetheless, trying desperately to understand how this City works. It's so different from the L.A. she knows, and different from what she's seen of New York too. Most importantly, she doesn't have to hide or run away any more.

On a rooftop corner across the street from Xavin, Goliath lands, seemingly unaware of her presence. His wings fold over his shoulders and clasp around his neck, forming the illusion of a cape as his eyes scan over the city from this new perch. Taking a moment to monitor his comm unit for any new bulletins.

Xavin catches the movement out of the corner of her eye, and makes a mental note before uses her power of invisibility to disappear from sight. She'd rather not be spotted--but what she doesn't realize is that the vanishing itself could bring more attention than just staying where she was.

That it does. The vanishing out of the corner of his eye turns his head, and immediately, his wings fan out again, as he's braced for anything.

Although he can find nothing.

Hiruma doesn't patrol. Hiruma simply flies, nightly, and enjoys the freedom it affords him. Looking down on the streets, its up to HIM which robberies or muggings he foils and which he simply takes pictures of. The perpetrators often became some of the most useful of his blackmail slaves.

But the City was nothing if not absolutely huge, so night patrols rarely ran into each other. It was nice for the bat, since it meant he didn't have to interrupt his flying. At the moment, he was breaking for a bit of a snack, digging a few apples out of the pack he'd had designed to carry with him whilst flying. Below, the sounds of screaming reached his large ears and he groaned a chittered, likely a bat version of his usual cursing. He looked below. Nothing special... seemed to be a robber that he already had dirt on and the lady wasn't in any explicit danger. But then, a dark winged shape swooped down from the sky and roared, sending the would-be mugger scrambling.

Kekeke, probably thought it was me. But who was that mysterious winged ( ... )

That dark, winged shape then reached out of shadows to grab the criminal fool and soar skyward with him.

His eyes glow a frightening white as he pulls the trembling man close and growls in his face.

"You will change your ways, or I will show you the true meaning of fear."

The man just nods, gasping and sweating in panic, unable to speak, before Goliath just drops him into a dumpster.

Kekeke! Two points!. Hiruma had to admit, this thing had style. Whatever it was.

Hiruma continued to follow, flying about 10 feet above the other winged being at any given time, hoping not to be noticed until his observations were complete.

One does not ride the winds for as long as Goliath has without having a sense of being followed. His wings suddenly expand, catching an updraft that sweeps him backwards and upwards, hoping to pass his pursuer and catch him by surprise.
