"I'm about twenty yards ahead of you, trying to catch up to him," Duo responded, headset on as he ran through the streets under full cloak, tranquilizer gun tucked into his cloak. It was good that the streets were so clear, though the implication of it was of course.. rather unfortunate. He could only imagine what horrible things had happened, they had to put a stop to it now.

"I'm about to take high ground- steer him down the alleyway 2 blocks ahead," he directed, grabbing the gun out and loading it- he hoped he could get him in one shot, but with how fast he was stampeding...

The creature continued to creep quickly up on what it thought was an unsuspecting teenager, pausing whenever the boy did, moving whenever he moved, careful to stay out of any lights which would cast a shadow before its target and give away its position.

The boy mumbled a word, but the beast did not understand it. It had never seen prey so oblivious. The boy was smaller than it had thought, but was not sick or weak--there would be good food tonight.

Its tail lashed, and the monster sped up, now no more than ten feet behind Heero at any given moment, preparing itself for the upcoming tense and spring.
