He turned to the main path towards the mansion, just as he heard footsteps running toward him. Glancing to the side, he saw her, her red hair flying out behind her as she ran.

"Penny!"

Without really knowing exactly when or how, he realized he was running as well, fairly flying in his haste to get to her. When they reached each other, he grabbed her tightly, arms around her waist, and picked her up off the ground, spinning her around once quickly before setting her back down.

And then he was kissing her.

"I love you," he said back, grinning like a fool.

He stared at her for a long moment, utterly speechless, like he'd forgotten how to use language in any way. Then, he just kissed her again. He would probably be doing that for a very long time.
