WHO: Kigai Yuuto and Shin Seijuurou WHERE: Shin's apartment. WHEN: The day after this thread. WARNINGS: None. SUMMARY: Yuuto drops in for a visit. FORMAT: Quicklog.
"I'm happy to hear that." If it was possible, he smiled in a brighter way. "Almost as much to know that you have been taking care of yourself since you were injured."
Yuuto did look around for a moment, but did not say anything about the state of the room. That would be rude and he really had nothing that he could say one way or the other. At the moment, he was thinking two separate thoughts. It seems like Shin had not learned how to control his powers yet. Though, he paused in this to couple it with, Or does he naturally like to live in this manner? The teen did seem to be a little on the less-wanting side than most, after all. But asking all that would be a little too prying

"Mind if I ask what? Hobbies or recipes, either is fine." He kept his smile and wondered if he was bullying Shin just a little to talk. It reminded him of a few friends -- if he could call them such -- from back home. Yuuto did pause to have something of a serious moment. "You know, if I am talking too much, you can simply tell me so. I can be a little on the talkative side and I might not stop unless it is brought to my attention."
Shin shook his head. Quiet as he was, he didn't overly mind talking; if anything, he was a bit puzzled as to why Yuuto wanted to know these things. "Very simple recipes," he said. "Tofu. Steamed vegetables. Rice." As for hobbies ... he shook his head again. "Just football," he continued. "Coach didn't want me joining other teams."
"I see. Still, I feel that is more than what I can do." Minus the ability to make tea, he couldn't actually say that he took the time to make any meals. Too much enjoyment in trying out restaurants, he supposed. But, that probably made him sound even more irresponsible -- especially with his money.
"Ah?" Something of an unintelligent noise as he took in the last bit of information. "That must mean that you are very good at football." A brief pause as he mulled over a few thoughts. "But that also means that you can try out a few hobbies now that you are here, right?"
Shin nodded. "Considered to be one of the best in Japan," he said. Which didn't necessarily include his own opinion on his abilities; he simply didn't feel they were relevant, at the moment. "... what hobbies?"
"Congratulations. That is quite an accomplishment." Yuuto smiled cheerfully, hands out in a manner that was synonymous with a small 'hooray' pose. "Like painting, writing, things like that."
"You don't understand them?" He couldn't help but blink a little at that statement. Not quite sure what it meant, but not wanting to appear rude by questioning a statement like that, past what he just did.
"Oh. I see." He had a relieved look, not sure what he was thinking Shin meant by his comment, but glad that it was something 'easy' to understand. "I suppose that means that you really like football more than anything else?"
It seemed time to come clean, if only a little. "I was worried that you felt that that was your only option. It's quite a bit of fun to try out the various horizons, but I think I may be speaking too soon." Yuuto did have the decency to look somewhat sheepish; his smile showing the same embarrassment.
There was a long pause. Shin had been mildly puzzled throughout a good portion of the conversation; now he looked truly confused. And that was a fairly strong reaction for someone as quiet as him. "Why?" he asked. A pause. "Why is it fun?"
"In the same manner that I am sure that football games are," Yuuto began in a rather cryptic manner. "That one does not know how it is going to end until they are actually in it, but they would like the finish product or road to be one that they came out on top on." He paused, setting his finger against his face in a thoughtful manner. "Or at least, able to look back and be satisfied with the end result."
Shin thought about this long and hard. For him, even football hadn't registered as "fun" until very, very recently -- and he wasn't entirely sure as to what that feeling really entailed. "Accomplishment," he said at last. "Accomplishment is ... good."
He quietly ate while Shin thought over what he said, not wanting to seem like he pressuring him for an answer. "Mm. It is. And the idea to be able to accomplish so much in various fields is also good." Yuuto was hesitant to say about tying oneself down to a single hobby or situation as he generally liked the idea of being free to go as he would like. And, he was certain that someone would scold him if he tried to convince too many youngsters -- if he was allowed to call Shin that even in his head -- to his way of thinking.
"Well, that is good, too. It might actually be better, because it means that you really like that one thing so much." Holding up his index finger, he waved it about as he made a small joke. "If it was a person, I am certain that it would feel very loved."
Yuuto did look around for a moment, but did not say anything about the state of the room. That would be rude and he really had nothing that he could say one way or the other.
