Rose wasn't the only one to notice the absence of a certain someone, though with recent events, a screw up of sorts, he had been too busy to be bothered by it.

It was rare for Jason to be around the apartment since the gun leak. Most of his free time was spent shadowing others who might've had some sort of connection to the leak or was in possession of the guns.

Instead of using the door, Jason slid into the apartment through a window. Normally he was good at being stealthy, but at the moment he just didn't give a damn, he was tired, the weather was shitty as hell and he just wanted to be home already. As he crawled in, he managed to knock down the lamp, luckily it didn't break.

She took surprises pretty well, usually. Though someone--anyone--trying to climb in through that particular apartment window was not something she'd expected. What kind of two-bit thief would wanna...?

Rose peered out from the bathroom, slowly regarding the figure fumbling to get the lamp's chord untangled from his foot. A vague smirk.

"We have a door, you know."

"Yeah," he grunted, yanking the cord from his foot, irritated. "This was quicker."

He felt as if he was almost desperate to just resume the routine he was accustomed to since arriving. The occasional annoyance that was Sirius, sitting on the couch doing absolutely nothing every night after work, arguments with Rose despite how ridiculous most of them were, these things that he had unknowingly taken for granted, he felt as if they were being threatened. He hated that. Unfortunately, shit happened and he knew he had to deal with it.

He tossed his hood and domino on the floor along with his jacket before falling on to the couch.

Rose's smirk slipped to a small frown, stepping into the living room as Jason landed on the couch. She had half a mind to ask why he didn't call for backup if whatever it was he was doing was so exasperating, but...well. Sometimes he was just exasperated for little things. Still.

She sat on the arm of the couch, yanking the failed ponytail out as she looked at him. "Long time no see, detective."
