Group therapy was one of Stein's least favorite activities. There was nothing wrong with him, so he had nothing to tell a therapist about, and there was nothing more boring to him than listening to other patients stutter through their life experiences. In fact, it was almost disgusting. It made him physically ill.

He sighed as he was reprimanded, again, for turning his screw, and gave his own hair a spiteful pull as the orderly responsible turned away to make sure the other patients filtering in were being cooperative.

He wondered who would be sitting next to him today. He hoped it would be one of his old patients, because if so he could make a game out of seeing how quickly he could make them cry.

Stein wasn't even getting the pleasure of having a crier sit next to him. Instead he was getting a foul mouthed gray kid who was frowning and looking around at everything but the other patients.

Until he caught sight of Stein, that is.

"Guessing your experiment didn't all go too motherfuckin' well."

Bellatrix stopped by his room after visiting Stein. She was still in her disguise -- but those who knew her wouldn't have too much trouble recognizing her if they looked closely.

After their most recent conversation, Gamzee really shouldn't expect her not to gloat. He hadn't changed and he never will, and his presence in NoHope was the very proof of it. Thus, she opened his cell door with a smirk, dozens of insults already at the tip of her tongue. Surely she isn't itching for a confrontation.

Gamzee hasn't been expecting any visitors today, and it showed in his furrowing brow and narrowing eyes. For a millisecond he didn't recognize Bella, but when he did his expression went the opposite way it'd been going.

"What the mother fuck all are you doing up at in here?"

Ghost never visited anywhere during normal visiting hours, and he had minor (though substantially more than at the Superjail) difficulty getting into NOHoPE in the wee late hours.

He drifted through the shadows invisibly, a handful of books in one hand, and then became visible outside Gamzee's cell, knocking softly to announce his presence. Probably shouldn't just barge in (this time, at least).

"Gamzee. ...Are trolls nocturnal?" It wasn't exactly a hello, it was just something that occurred to him at around the same time a greeting might.

Gamzee smiles at this visit, happy to have someone he wants around. And, though he doesn't know it, he's also smiling because of Ghost's courtesy.

"Yeah, motherfucker. We're all nocturnal," he said quietly, "Come on in here, bro."

"Fascinating... thank you." He ducked in, the intangibility trick working on his items, as well. The accommodations he found no less grim, nor more necessary, than the ones at the prison.

"I brought you these." He set down the books; a reference on UFOs, a book on origami and the art of paper folding, and Universe by Scudder Klyce.

"The one on aliens is for entertainment. Inside the Origami book are blueprints of NOHoPE which you may wish to memorize, in the event of a future, hhh - early release? The third book is very rare... It is a comprehensive unison of all mankind's accomplishments. Electricity, chemistry, cosmology, thermodynamics, the humanities... astronomy, psychology, ethics as regards economics, sociology, language and physics..." An awkward beat, "You'll find something you like, I hope."

And he's sitting down again, everything in his body language both relaxed and pleased. "Are you all right?"

He didn't say it, but Gamzee would be making sure to take special care of the Origami book and he'd definitely read it first. He wasn't as sure about the book on human knowledge, humans were much further behind in technology than trolls, but he'd give it a try. Sometimes humans had better ideas on things, Karkat seemed to think that at least.

"Thanks."

And then Gamzee sat at as equal a level he could with Ghost.

A second or two ticked by before he said anything, his voice sounding a bit on edge when he finally did speak "It's motherfuckin' funny. We're not as good up at in here as we all were back where we used to be up at."

[ Calendar Man was working diligently at one of the tables making a makeshift calendar for February. Certain dates were circled, notes made. He had a calendar, but it was a secret. It was too public out here, too observed.

And then he noticed Gamzee. One of the trolls, in person. He stopped working. His stare lengthened past comfortable levels, but he didn't move move to speak to him, yet. ]

[Gamzee didn't notice the creepy stare art first, he was engrossed in a project of his own at the time.

There were so many purples to use, but only one of them was really good for making smiley faces and badly drawn clowns and circus tents.

Only when he'd just run out of his particular purple and had to find more did he look up and notice Julian.]

Uh. What's up bro?

[ He smiles, and approaches, but not close enough to scare the young troll, hovering at a slightly less-than-familiar distance. ]

Gamzee. In person. And how are you enjoying your stay?

[Instead of responding like a normal person and feeling creeped out, Gamzee smiles back. It's brief though since the question it's one he doesn't like.]

Not motherfuckin' liking it up at in here. Prison was better than this shit's at being.

Didn't have to deal with fuckin' drugs then.

When Gamzee had been told he had a visitor waiting for them he thought it might have been Karkat or Tavros, maybe an enemy he really didn't want to see, but John was not any of these people. He was his own special surprise at which Gamzee didn't know if he should frown, smile, or stare. Wasn't long though before Gamzee changed his expression into something more presentable than a blank slate.

Keeping his tone relatively neutral he asked, "What are you all motherfuckin' up at in here for, bro?"

And quickly he took his seat, trying to ignore John's own nervousness.

Gamzee paused, he didn't let his expression betray his thoughts, but if anyone had been touching his wrist right then they would have felt Gamzee's pulse go a little faster. And a good observer would have noted how Gamzee's pupils reacted against his purple flecked grey eyes. The brief stiffness in his posture would also have been a good indicator of what was going on with him.

Right before he asked his own question he relaxed his body again.

"Uhhh, what all do you want to get to talking at us about?" He asked, knowing that the fear of clowns was going to have to come up.
