"No doubt." Actually, from Pietro's expression, there would be quite a bit of doubt. It had been some time since he'd seen Angelica drunk and though she never failed to be charming, somewhere after the second margarita, he was very much done. One of the unfortunate side-effects of his powers happened to be the inability to become inebriated and, consequently, the role of designated driver forever and all eternity.

"Would you like anything else? Food, perhaps?"

"Maybe some nachos?" She smiled, resting her chin in her hands, watching him very intently. The alcohol in her system was making it difficult to rein herself in. She was a bit embarrassed, to be honest. She was on the verge of behaving badly, but she just couldn't stop grinning at him. "And a kiss?"

"Your reward for a safe return home." Not that Pietro was altogether against public displays of affection, but it was obvious to see that Angie was a little messed up. He mimicked her pose, resting his chin on his hands and studying her slightly blushed face. Hopefully that, and the small smirk playing at his lips would make it apparent he wasn't intending to be mean, just not wanting to engage in her drunken debauchery. "We can do something about nachos, however. If that's what you want."

Angelica's smile faded a little, lips curving into the slightest frown. He might not intend to come off like a jerk, but she couldn't help but interpret his rejection that way. If she'd been sober, she'd completely understand. Such was the trade off ( ... )
