At least for a while, she'd attempt to pretend nothing was wrong. She smiled, popping inside once Veronica had the door open enough for her to get in.

"Ah, so I'm not interrupting. Good." She set the food on the nearest counter. "You're looking well. Did you have fun in Vegas?" Obviously, but -- hey, it didn't hurt to ask. Making small-talk was the first step to asking about arguments with other friends, right?

"Yeah, it's raspberry ripple -- and strawberry-rhubarb pie. I thought they'd probably go well together." She nodded at her words, waving a hand to the side. "Who else did you put your foot in it with? I mean -- unless you're talking about Ghost."

They were friends too, so she'd been watching.
